Vividenz currently runs on ChatGPT Sites, a managed hosting service provided by OpenAI. When a page is requested, technically necessary connection data may be processed, such as IP address, time, requested page, browser information, and status code. This supports secure and stable operation. Where the GDPR applies, the legal basis is Article 6(1)(f).
For operators based in the European Economic Area, OpenAI Ireland Ltd. is the contracting party and processor for hosted personal data. The applicable terms are in the ChatGPT Sites Data Processing Addendum: https://openai.com/policies/chatgpt-sites-data-processing-addendum/. OpenAI may use the listed subprocessors for hosting, infrastructure, moderation, and support. The current list is available at https://openai.com/policies/sub-processor-list/.
The Data Processing Addendum defines the processing period as the term of the agreement plus the time required to meet post-termination obligations, including deletion. It does not state one specific uniform period for individual hosting or security logs. After the agreement ends, hosted data is returned or deleted on instruction unless the law requires retention. Transfers from the EEA to third countries are based on adequacy decisions or EU Standard Contractual Clauses under the agreement.
The Body Compass can be opened directly as a PDF or requested by email through a Brevo signup form. When you use the form, Vividenz processes your email address and technical signup data via Brevo to handle signup, double opt-in, delivery, and unsubscribe management.
The legal basis for signup and email delivery is your consent under Article 6(1)(a) GDPR. Logging the double opt-in may additionally rely on legitimate interests under Article 6(1)(f) GDPR so the signup can be documented. You can unsubscribe at any time using the unsubscribe link in each email.
The questions and feedback page assembles your entries locally in the browser into an email draft. The website does not send or store those details. Information reaches Vividenz only after you send the message from your own email app.
ChatGPT Sites records traffic automatically and shows the site operator total unique visitors and page views and how both metrics change over time. Vividenz uses this aggregated view to assess reach and content use, not to identify individual visitors by name.
Vividenz has not added a separate analytics service, advertising pixel, affiliate tracking, or embedded YouTube player. The Body Compass form is displayed on Vividenz. Its form data is sent to Brevo when you submit it; alternatively, you can open the original Brevo form through a labelled link. Other external sources open only after a deliberate click.
Clearly labelled Amazon affiliate links open only after a deliberate click. As long as no additional affiliate tracking or advertising pixel is embedded, Vividenz itself does not carry out additional tracking for those links. Purchases, payments, withdrawal rights, and customer service are handled by the respective provider, not by Vividenz.
For the language choice, Vividenz stores “vividenz-language” in local browser storage and “vividenz-locale” as a cookie. The cookie remains stored for up to twelve months and uses SameSite=Lax. This keeps the language variant you explicitly selected and allows it to be displayed on the next page request.
If you save a choice on the cookie settings page, “vividenz-consent-v1” records it only in local browser storage as “necessary” or “statistics”. These entries remain on your device and can be removed by deleting the website data. They serve only the settings functions you expressly requested; Section 25(2)(2) TDDDG is the legal basis for access to the device.
Depending on the applicable conditions, you may have rights of access, correction, erasure, restriction, portability, objection, and withdrawal of consent. Article 77 GDPR also gives you the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority.
For non-public controllers based in North Rhine-Westphalia, the competent authority is generally the State Commissioner for Data Protection and Freedom of Information of North Rhine-Westphalia. Complaint information: https://www.ldi.nrw.de/beschwerde
Updated September 13, 2026. This notice will be revised before new data flows such as additional audience measurement, embedded videos, additional affiliate tracking, or Vividenz's own paid offers are enabled.
To improve the website, Vividenz counts three deliberate actions in its German edition: choosing a topic on the home page, opening an article from the reading recommendations, and submitting the Body Compass form.
The application stores only the action type (event), the permitted starting point (source), the permitted topic, article or edition (target), the UTC calendar month and a combined count. No names, email addresses, form contents, IP addresses, visitor IDs or individual timestamps are stored in these statistics. The hosting service may process connection data as described above.
These totals count actions, not people. Repeated clicks may be counted again. A form submission does not show whether a signup was confirmed or the PDF was delivered.
This counting uses no counting cookies or visitor profiles and creates no automatic entries in local browser storage. Before sending an action, it reads only the existing vividenz-consent-v1 preference. A necessary-only choice, Do Not Track, Global Privacy Control, an unknown preference or a storage read error stops the action from being sent. With no saved choice, or with counting allowed, the listed actions may be counted unless a browser privacy signal blocks them.
